Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care Assistance
- Provide assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and transferring (e.g., bed to wheelchair).
- Companionship and Emotional Support
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to enhance quality of life.
- Provide emotional reassurance and a caring presence.
- Meal Preparation and Nutrition
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary needs.
- Assist with feeding if necessary and ensure proper hydration.
- Medication Reminders
- Prompt clients to take medications as directed by their healthcare provider.
- Maintain accurate records of medication reminders provided.
- Light Housekeeping
- Perform household tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning.
- Maintain a safe and tidy living environment for clients.
- Transportation and Errands
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands.
- Ensure safe transportation and provide physical assistance if needed.
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Observe and document any changes in clients' physical or emotional condition.
- Communicate concerns promptly to supervisors or family members.
- Specialized Care (if applicable)
- Provide care for clients with specific conditions, such as dementia, Parkinson’s, or post-surgical recovery, as trained.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous caregiving experience or CNA certification required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if driving required).
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to details.
